I’ve been to a few tea houses in China too. I had a different Afternoon Tea experience there, as the focus was on the tea making. I went to a tea house looking like a greenhouse in the middle of the garden, all surrounded my plants. The host showed me how she prepares the tea and then served me. There were cakes or biscuits options on a side.

Same as London, in Singapore you can find lots of tea houses, hotels and restaurants that offer Afternoon Tea experiences. I’ve just come back from enjoying a nice tea at Arteastiq tea house.
Another great Afternoon tea in Singapore is at Fennel Cafe, at Gardens by the Bay. If you don’t want to have it in a hotel, you may enjoy having it in a garden.
